Computer Lab

What is Computer Lab?

A computer lab is a space which provides computer services to a defined community. Computer labs are typically provided by libraries to the public, by academic institutions to students who attend the institution or by other institutions to the public or to people affiliated with that institution.

Purposes:

While computer labs are generally multipurpose, some labs may contain computers with hardware or software optimized for certain tasks or processes, depending on the needs of the institution operating the lab. These specialized purposes include but may not be limited to video editing, 3-D design, and programming.

Our moto towards Computer Lab:

Information Technology (IT) is an integral part of DAV curriculum. In this age of Computer Technology, an early exposure to the basics of computer, readies the child for the future and also helps the child to overcome any inhibitions they might have towards computer usage.

The school has a policy of one computer per child and the school computer lab is adequately equipped for the same. Internet connectivity is provided to the students, teachers and staff in the adjacent Internet lab. Teachers assist children in seeking out information, creating multimedia content, collaborating on project work and presenting the knowledge gathered from multiple sources.
